The American Rescue Plan (ARP) Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief Fund (ESSER III) provides over $12,000,000,000 to the State of Texas for public education, including over $11,000,000,000 directly to Local Education Agencies. While the U.S. Department of Education (ED) has released approximately $8,000,000,000 of that allocation to the state, in order to access the remaining funds, the ÐÔÊ®°Ë.cc (ÐÔÊ®°Ë.cc) must submit and obtain ED approval of a state-level plan.Ìý

Seeking input from diverse stakeholders across the state is essential to developing plans for the use of approximately $1,000,000,000 in ARP ESSER III state-level discretionary funds that are responsive to the needs of students, families, and educators.Ìý

Please submit any feedback via our by 5:00 p.m. on May 21, 2021, to be reviewed for inclusion into the state’s ESSER III State Plan application.Ìý
